Important Customer Notice

Firstly, want to thank you for all the custom as we wouldn’t be here without you.

Lately we have had a few customers commenting that the number of flowers in the arrangements has not been as full as it has been before – of course we are sorry to hear that it has not met with expectations and whilst this is not ideal, it is nonetheless the unfortunate situation we find ourselves in with the rising costs of wages, fuel, insurances, stock and fresh flowers. Rest assured that we are trying our best to maintain the high standards you have grown to expect from Pink Petal but is becoming increasingly more challenging - we have tried various things to help to no avail.

As with shopping at Asda/Tesco etc. everything we buy has shot up in price and there is nothing we can do. As a small family run business, we need to make sure the business is sustainable for all, and we need your help.

Please remember, that when ordering, we work to the price/budget you have in mind – this inevitably means that the arrangements would have less flowers than the same value of years gone by. Please note that we have starting prices for certain arrangements as they just wouldn’t look right with less flowers in them - we want to be honest with our customers as to how things are, and we are struggling just like all small businesses. Below is an example of some prices to show transparency when we are trying to make you up a nice arrangement whilst we are also trying to be mindful by trying to take in cheaper flowers to make the arrangements look fuller but some people like certain flowers like hydrangeas, lilies, lisianthus etc. but these are expensive on their own without trying to make them an a bouquet.

Moving forward, we are going to try and keep our stock limited and if there is anything you need in particular then please order in plenty of time to try and save disappointment, this will allow us to have less wastage and take in only what we need, for example if we order in advance from Holland we can get a better price than going to wholesaler to get next day. This is a big difference in price, and this will allow us to put more flowers in your arrangements, we will still have a small selection of things made up ready to go and can do last minute orders if we have the stock.

Please be mindful that it is out of control of all staff here at Pink Petal that prices have risen, and they are all striving to provide you with the award winning service you have grown to know, love and expect from us.

N.B. These prices are per stem and vary every week and the more notice we have the more chance of getting a lower price, we will try and keep the same service for as long as sustainable - help us to help you

Owners Yvonne and Ellie are mother and daughter team, both fully trained to city and guilds level 2 Floristry, Yvonne has been working in other florists for a number of years where she gained a great deal of experience in order to run her own shop and pass on the knowledge to Ellie who is newly qualified, both take great pride in the work they do, all they look for is that smile or even a happy tear from the lucky person receiving the flowers.
